Many (but not all) of David's patients have special medical histories, dental phobia (fear of dentists), or have sensitive gag reflexes.
Consequently, his practice has many patients who require intravenous sedation or advanced techniques in local anaesthesia.
"I love the practice of dentistry," he says. "The hands on aspect of the profession is always challenging. However, what brings the most satisfaction and joy is the challenge of helping others overcome their fears and concerns regarding dental treatment. In our practice we are routinely faced with the opportunity to improve our patient's oral health. It is particularly gratifying when our team is able to do this for someone who is apprehensive."
As his patients can attest, their old fears and problems about going to the dentist are things of the past.
